Tuned lower than a standard mandolin, and with a larger body, it's tuned to CGDA like a viola, and has a rich, deep tone that's markedly beautiful. Expertly built with a carved solid Spruce top with dual f-holes and carved solid, highly-flamed Maple back and sides, it sounds incredible. The Maple neck perfectly complements its already stellar looks, and the Ebony fingerboard plays great.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIt has a 15 27\/32\" scale length and a 1 11\/32\" bone nut. Here in Very Good condition, it does have some minor playwear, most noticeably a chip at the top of the headstock (see photo). A K\u0026amp;K pickup has also been installed and sounds amazing when plugged in. Overall, the \u003cstrong\u003eEastman MDA815 SB F Style Mandola\u003c\/strong\u003e is one helluva player, top to bottom, and will be especially nice for someone looking for a change from your typical mandolin.
