Once activated, you've got a circuit similar to a classic Marshall, modeled after the discontinued Gain Stage Purple. Up the gain and tone and you've got a biting and blistering monster. Combine them both and you have a distortive virtuoso, capable of producing well-defined and practically percussive tones.
