The neck has a 1 7\/8\" nutwidth, with a very flat, classical guitar profile. The neck has a hand rubbed oil-type finish, rather than a satin or gloss lacquer finish more common to steel string guitars.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eSanta Cruz does not have records of custom builds from this 1987 era, but SC's Richard Hoover confirmed that it is likely a neck they would have done. The original owner also confirms buying it as a new guitar with the wide neck.The guitar remains in Excellent original condition, other than an installed LR Baggs pickup. The guitar is very playable, but does have a low saddle.
