The Imperial was designed to capture the raw tone and loose feel of a well-warn vintage amp, and it does so in spades. Instead of simply emulating a vintage design, designer Mark Bartel worked closely with US-based manufacturers to build custom transformers and speakers specifically for this amp. Every detail points to quality, and it makes for a great sounding amp. The rhythm channel offers some of the best organic, broken in Princeton-style tones we've heard, and the lead channel with the super effective Mid-bite control, takes you from Tweed deluxe all the way to a bit of early British-style crunch.
